MIND ID Transforms into PT Mineral Industri Indonesia

After the official split-off from PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum (Inalum), the Mining Industry Holding or MIND ID has a new business name, PT Mineral Industri Indonesia. The State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Ministry appointed Hendi Prio Santoso as the Mineral Industri Indonesia president director and Dany Amrul Ichdan as vice president director at a general meeting of shareholders on Tuesday.

With this transformation, PT Mineral Industri Indonesia will be more focused as a strategic holding company. Meanwhile, Inalum is focusing on developing aluminum downstream. Dany stated that the company would focus on carrying out the government's mandate, especially controlling natural resource reserves optimally and aggressively. "We support and carry out downstream mandates so that we can execute the downstream business properly and quickly," Dany said.

PT Mineral Industri Indonesia Commissioner Ridwan Djamaluddin said the split-off would give this company more flexibility to boost productivity and mastery over natural resources. "Of course, unfinished work, such as the construction of smelters and others, must be pursued more quickly," he said.
