Bali Deports 47 Foreign Tourists for Breaking Laws

The Law and Human Rights Ministry’s (Kanwil Kemenkumham) office in Bali is said to have deported 47 foreign nationals (WNA). The office head Anggiat Napitupulu revealed that many of them were Russians, with 13 people.
However, one Ukrainian national is undergoing legal proceedings for holding a fake Indonesian identity card (KTP). The three most common offenses foreigners commit are violating the stay terms or overstaying their visas, misusing the residence permit, and breaking laws. For example, they arrive with a tourist visa but stay in Bali for work
Since the end of last week, the Bali provincial administration has been deploying hundreds of law enforcement officers to carry out a five-day operation to crack down on criminal activities throughout the island, especially in tourist areas, ahead of the Nyepi Day or the day of silence on Wednesday.
