Finance Ministry's Inspector General Awan Nurmawan Nuh was appointed PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) commissioner. This was decided at the BBRI General Meeting of Shareholders held virtually on Monday.

"Awan Nurmawan Nuh was appointed as commissioner. This new member can carry out his duties effectively after fulfilling the fit and proper test and complying with applicable laws and regulations," BRI President Director Sunarso said at the meeting.

He explained that the appointment of Awan Nurmawan Nuh as BRI Commissioner would start active after he passes the fit and proper test and complies with the applicable laws and regulations.

Members of the board of directors whose terms had ended were also renewed and expanded at the BRI annual shareholder meeting. President Director Sunarso, Micro Business Director Supari, and Compliance Director Ahmad Solichin Lutfiyanto are among the directors whose terms have ended and who were reappointed.
