Pertamina Trans Continental Eyes Palembang New Port

The South Sumatra (Sumsel) governor Herman Deru revealed that PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental was interested in the construction of the Palembang New in Tanjung Carat, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra.

"Earlier, we discussed the company's interest in working together in the construction of the Palembang New Port in Tanjung Carat and we are really looking forward to this," he said on Friday.

However, the South Sumatra provincial administration will not stop there and is eager to attract more investors to help develop the port.

"This area needs a market as users of port services and the main service user is PT Pertamina. It turns out they are also interested in investing," he said.

He welcomed Pertamina Trans Kontinental's move because the company already operates in 104 ports.
