PKS Backs Anies Baswedan's Presidential Run in 2024

The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) officially announced its decision to support Anies Baswedan's presidential run in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

The declaration was held at the office of the PKS central leadership board on Thursday and attended by Anies Baswedan himself and other PKS officials such as Hidayat Nur Wahid, Sohibul Iman, and the party's advisory council chairman Salim Segaf Al Jufri.

"Thank God, the discussion on the most suitable figure has been narrowed down to Anies Rasyid Baswedan. We choose him as a national figure, and God has destined him as president," PKS president Ahmad Syaikhu said during the declaration.

PKS' Majelis Syura (advisory council) VIII has gone through a thorough deliberation before finally deciding to support Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate in 2024. The deliberation process also involved several relevant stakeholders.
