Bumi Resources Minerals Discovers New Gold Reserves in Poboya Block

PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), through its subsidiary PT Citra Palu Minerals (CPM), discovered 8 million tons of gold reserves in the Poboya Block, Palu, Central Sulawesi, bringing CPM's mineral reserves from 14 million to 22 million tons of ore which are part of the company's mineral resources of 28 million tons of ore. The gold content of ores in reserves and resources that CPM operates is around 2.4 grams per ton on average.
Bumi Resources Minerals president director Agus Projosasmito said the discovery would extend the production life of the Poboya gold mine and improve the financial performance of the issuer listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange this year. "We hope we can increase gold production this year from our second gold factory in Palu, which was just completed at the end of last year," he said Thursday.
