Indomobil Plunges into EV Market with Various Product Variants

Indomobil Group will market Yadea electric motorcycles starting in 2023 through PT Indomobil E-Motor Internasional. Indomobil E-Motor Internasional Director Gerry Kertowidjojo said the Yadea product launch would take place during the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) on Feb 16-26, 2023. "Indomobil is serious about developing the electric motorcycle industry, starting with presenting a product line-up that suits demands in Indonesia," he said on Feb 4, 2023.

According to Gerry, Indomobil will expand Yadea dealerships in various cities after the product launch at IIMS 2023. With Indomobil's network already spread across major cities, he hopes consumers outside Java can also purchase Yadea. Yadea, a Chinese brand established in 2001, already has a Vehicle Identification Number (NIK) issued by the Industry Ministry's Director General for Metal, Machinery, Transportation Equipment and Electronics Industries.
