Survey: Indonesia's Digital Security Index Is Still Low
Katadata Insight Center (KIC) survey with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (Kominfo) showed that Indonesia's Digital Literacy Index 2022 increased by 0.05 points from 2021 to 3.54 on five or in the medium-high category. However, the digital literacy index in terms of security is still low at 3.12.
Director General of Informatics Applications Semuel A Pangerapan said that one of the digital security pillar indicators is the ability to report abuse on social networks. However, most, or 58.6 percent of respondents, did not understand this. They also never report abuse but need the help of others. "Digital security is still the main work to do in digital literacy," Semuel said at the Indonesia Digital Literacy Status 2022 Launch in Jakarta on Wednesday.
