Jokowi Urges for Regulation to Ease PLN Absorbing JETP Funds

President Joko Widodo urged ministers to issue regulations so PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) can absorb funds in the Just Energy Transition Partnership or JETP platform, an energy funding platform from several donors worth US$20 billion.

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said stakeholders are still looking at PLN's readiness to absorb the funds. In the JETP funds absorption, PLN is an independent energy producer's asset owner or contract holder. "A regulation is needed to underlie it so the absorption can run credibly and well. That's what the president asked for," Sri Mulyani said Tuesday.
