The government is implementing transition policies to end the COVID-19 pandemic status. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Hartarto said that various programs handled by the COVID-19 Handling and National Economic Recovery Committee (KPCPEN) would be returned to the authorized ministries and state institutions.

Airlangga said that the COVID-19 handling budgeting is returned to the Ministry of Health, while the social protection program is to Social Affairs Ministry. "Everything related to economic recovery is included in their respective sectors," Airlangga said Thursday. During the transition from pandemic to endemic, Indonesia entered a known uncertainty that poses several threats, including stagflation, as central banks keep raising interest rates to tame soaring inflation.
