Signals and Possibilities from Megawati's Speech

Chairperson of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) Megawati Soekarnoputri reiterated her rejection of the scenario of postponing the 2024 elections. She stated that the 2024 elections must be on time. "Why is there a commotion now it's not clear. How can the government work well? The election must be on time," she said at a PDI-P birthday celebration on Tuesday.

Megawati also reiterated that the maximum presidential term is only two times. "If it's been done twice, that's it. Sorry, just two times," she said.
