Carsome, Electrum to Work on Nusantara's Connectivity

Malaysian vehicle e-commerce startup Carsome announced a partnership with electric motorcycle manufacturer Electrum, Straits Times reported Tuesday. The collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption of two-wheeled electric vehicles in Indonesia. "Our partnership with Electrum will be a game changer. Together, we are exploring options to drive the adoption of EV two-wheelers," Eric Cheng, Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Carsome, said in a statement.

According to Cheng, as the largest vehicle e-commerce platform in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, Carsome will partner with Electrum to drive EV adoption in Indonesia. Carsome operates 42 retail centers across Jakarta and surrounding areas, West Java and East Java. "Carsome has been present in Indonesia since 2017, and we are committed to contributing to the socio-economic development demands of the nation," he said.
