PetroChina to Drill More Wells in Jabung Block

This year, Jabung Block operator PetroChina International Jabung Ltd will drill two exploratory wells in the NEB (North East Betara) Field and eleven development wells in six fields that they had previously developed: South Betara, NEB, Panen, Gemah, Sabar, and West Betara.

PetroChina is ramping up the Jabung Block's development after securing a contract extension from the Indonesian government for the 2023-2043 period. "For the next 20 years, we are committed to carrying out various exploration, development, and maintenance programs," PetroChina president director Qian Mingyang said on Monday.
