Unilever Adds ESQA into Its Portfolio
Indonesian cosmetic startup ESQA managed to raise US$6 million or Rp 94 billion in a Series A funding round led by Unilever Ventures and supported by well-known venture capitalist East Ventures. ESQA co-founder and CPO Kezia Trihatmanto revealed that the company would use the fresh funds to expand omnichannel distribution networks and penetrate new cities. ESQA will expand overseas, develop innovative product offerings, build talents, and strengthen its marketing strategy.
"Innovation is at the forefront of our brand. Our approach is to think globally and act regionally. Therefore, ESQA is quick in adopting international trends while serving the needs of Asian and local skin according to our customer-centric focus, providing products that customers need," Kezia said in an official statement on Tuesday.
