Indonesian Unicorn Ajaib Slashes 67 Jobs Amid Global Uncertainty
Investment fintech Ajaib Group decided to slash 67 jobs or eight percent of the total employees. The company also cut management salaries. Even the founders will not receive any. This was done due to global economic turmoils, which had impacted the company.
"To ensure the company's readiness to face uncertain macroeconomic conditions, we are forced to do a downsizing, which affected 67 employees," Ajaib's management said in a written statement on Tuesday.
The company also ensures that affected employees will receive compensation according to statutory regulations and a severance bonus of one month for each year of service. In addition, employees affected by layoffs also receive health insurance for employees and their families for the next six months, including counseling and job search support.
