Golkar Cadre Holds Hipmi Leadership Chair
Akbar Himawan Buchari becomes the elected general chair of the Central Executive Board (BPP) of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi) for the 2022-2025 period at the XVII National Conference in Solo, Central Java. Robert Muda Hartawan, Hipmi's secretary for the succession, revealed Akbar outperformed Bagas Adhadirgha in the second round, which took place on Wednesday. "The election went well," he said on Thursday.
In the first round, Akbar secured 57 votes, followed by Bagas Adhadirgha with 71 votes, and Eka Sastra Anggawira with 41 votes. Because no candidate achieved 85 votes based on the provision of 50 percent of total votes+1, the second round of voting participated by two candidates with the highest votes took place. Akbar then won 92 votes, while Bagas only received 68 valid and five invalid ballots. Apparently, Akbar's victory was due to additional votes from Eka Sastra Anggawira's camp.
