The Widi Islands (Widi Reserve) in South Halmahera, North Maluku, will be auctioned at one of the well-known property auction sites. More than 100 islands in the Widi Reserve are spread over ​​10,000 hectares.

Citing Sotheby's Concierge Auctions' official website, the Widi Reserve will be auctioned from Dec 8 to Dec 14. No opening price is stated, but potential buyers are asked to deposit US$100,000.

"Every billionaire can own a private island, but only one can have this exclusive opportunity: an archipelago of more than 100 islands," Charlie Smith, executive vice president for EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) Sotheby's Concierge Auctions said in an official statement, as quoted by CNN on Wednesday.
