L&T Defense India to Supply Cannon for Indonesian Navy

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Defense secured a contract for a 40-millimeter cannon system for the Indonesian Navy. According to Janes' sources, the Teevra 40 cannon will be installed on the Indonesian Navy warships, Teluk Bintuni class landing craft.

The Indonesian Navy will purchase two Teevra 40 units. The weapons procurement process involves a partnership with the Indonesian defense company BTI Defense. BTI will provide after-sales service for the weapon system while it is operational. The Teevra 40 is a cannon with a maximum range of 11,800 meters. For surface targets, the effective range is around 3,500 meters, while for air targets, the effective range is about 4,500 meters. This gun can fire various standard 40mm/L70 NATO rounds.
