PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) is quietly expanding into the Philippines by establishing a new entity called Smart Sari, Daily Social reported on Monday. Smart Sari is a micro-scale retail store that sells various products, from basic necessities to virtual products, such as game vouchers.

Tech In Asia reported that Smart Sari is Mitra Bukalapak's business model in the Philippines. Smart Sari app is available on the Google Play Store and has been downloaded more than 50,000 times since July 2022. Later, Smart Sari will launch other features such as bill payments, grocery shopping, and booking travel tickets.
