Sri Mulyani's Aide to be World Bank's Executive Director

Expert Staff to Finance Minister for Macroeconomics and International Finance Wempi Saputra was appointed as Executive Director of the World Bank, according to Head of the Fiscal Policy Agency Febrio Kacaribu. "My congratulations go to Mr. Wempi Saputra with his new position as Executive Director of the World Bank; there is no doubt about his ability," Febrio said on social media on Tuesday.

Febrio also mentioned Dalyono, an Associate Expert Policy Analyst of the Fiscal Policy Agency, who was appointed as the World Bank's Senior Advisor. "Their experience in handling international financial cooperation issues, including leading when leading Indonesia's G20 Presidency, will be needed in a new position. I hope these two representatives of the Finance Ministry can bridge the interests of Indonesia and the World Bank," he said.
