MettaDC, New Player in the Data Center Business in Jababeka

PT MettaDC Teknologi Indonesia inaugurated its first data center in the Jababeka Industrial Estate, West Java. MettaDC invested US$200 million, or more than Rp 3 trillion, to develop the 35-megawatt data center. Sitting on a 1.8-hectare area, MettaDC ID01 employs four dark fiber optic routes that can facilitate a three-story IT hall with a capacity of 3,000 racks and a touchless security system of more than seven layers.
The MettaDC ID01 data center is also designed to be high-density with a raised floor Data Hall that can withstand a heavy load of up to 2.5 tons. "In the next five years, we will continue to develop data centers with a capacity of 500 megawatts," MettaDC Teknologi Indonesia president director Sukoco Halim said on Wednesday.
