Indonesia-Japan Consortium Working on Patimban Project I-2

The Transportation Ministry signed a construction package contract for the Patimban Port Container Terminal with the Indonesia-Japan consortium on Oct 24. This consortium consists of Penta Ocean Construction Co Ltd, Toyo Construction Co Ltd and Rinkai Nissan Construction Co Ltd (Japan), PT Pembangunan Perumahan Tbk (PTPP), PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA), and PT Jaya Konstruksi Manggala Pratama (Indonesia). This consortium will work on package six of Container Terminal No 2 Patimban Port Phase I-2 construction.

Director General of Sea Transportation Arif Toha said the contract signing is a follow-up of the Patimban Port construction. The scope of work in the package six contract continues the Patimban Port Phase I-1 project, such as the construction of an additional 419-meter-long container dock, reclamation for a 27-hectare container terminal, and dredging of shipping lanes and port pools to a depth of 14 meters. "The project's construction is targeted to complete within 34 months," he said.
