Dark Stores Close as Grab Streamlines Operations

Grab Indonesia will close all of its dark stores in Indonesia after collaborating with PT Trans Retail. Deal Street Asia broke the news on Tuesday and revealed that Grab would instead rely on Trans Retail's warehouses and stores to support its quick commerce business.

In June 2022, Grab stopped providing the quick commerce service GrabMart Kilat in the Bandung area, West Java. Apparently, consumers in the city are more interested in regular Grabmart services. In exchange, the company decided to improve GrabMart Kilat services in the Jakarta-Bogor-Depok-Tangerang-Bekasi (Jabodetabek) area.
