Summary

Culinary service startup Waku raised US$1 million in initial funding from Australian venture capitals Nasa Ventures and 11th Space. Waku Group Founder Anthony Gunawan said with this funding, Waku will expand its service area, open new markets, and deepen research and technology infrastructure. "We still have a lot to do to improve people's quality of life through food," Anthony said, as the Daily Social quoted Wednesday.

Waku, previously known as Wakuliner, secured funding after completing the 11th Space Indonesia accelerator program, which ended in July 2022. Nasa Ventures and 11th Space Indonesia are affiliated with Navanti Holdings and Sapien Ventures. Anthony said this funding would make Waku one of Indonesia's leading F&B solution providers in just three years.
