RDF Plant Bantargebang to Supply Biomass for Cement Factories
PT Adhi Karya Tbk (ADHI) will soon complete the Bantargebang Refused Derived Fuel (RDF) Plant project in Bekasi, West Java. The company targets Indonesia's largest RDF Plant to operate next year. RDF Plant Bantargebang can accommodate and process up to 2,000 tons of waste per day. The progress of its physical development has reached 83 percent as of Oct 2022.
RDF Plant Bantargebang will convert the old waste sediment and new waste in the Bantargebang Integrated Waste Disposal Site (TPST) into biomass, a fuel that can become an energy source like coal. The energy products from the waste processing at the RDF Plant have a calorific value equivalent to that of light coal. "This facility will be completed in Dec 2022 and ready to operate in 2023," Adhi Karya Corporate Secretary Farid Budiyanto said on Tuesday.
