Bright Prospects for Jaring Pangan's Commodity Token
Commodity supply chain startup Jaring Pangan Indonesia, or JaPang, secured US$11.5 million in pre-Series A funding from Gayo Capital. Chief Executive Officer Edison Tobing said JaPang would use the fresh funds to develop a new business model based on Sustainable Web3. JaPang has appointed serial investor and tech-veteran Ishara Yusdian from Gayo Capital as a business advisor.
"With a venture builder background in the markets of Australia, New Zealand, North America, and Southeast Asia countries, Ishara will assist us in strengthening JaPang's business and operations models to readily enter the Sustainable Web3 journey," Edison said on Friday.
He said that along with the journey of Web3, where the public increasingly accepts digital assets such as crypto, JaPang had set several strategic plans, including a smart contract for issuing Commodity Tokens and JaPang Coins.
