A support group called the Joint Secretariat of Prabowo-Jokowi submitted a judicial review of Law No. 7/2017 on General Elections to the Constitutional Court on Sept 19. In lawsuit Number 92/PUU/PAN.MK/AP3/09/2022, the Prabowo-Jokowi secretariat challenged Article 169 letter n of the Election Law on the requirements for presidential and vice-presidential candidates. "This will be a stumbling block for those who have carried out their vision and mission very well," the lawsuit said.

Central Leadership Council Chairman of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) Said Abdullah said that the Prabowo-Jokowi Secretary-General's lawsuit was the right to voice opinions. However, he said, Jokowi seems reluctant to re-run in the 2024 presidential election, let alone become a vice presidential candidate. "Is it true that after becoming President, Mr. Jokowi wants to be Vice President? It's completely illogical," he said on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Secretary General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani said that Jokowi's discourse to become a vice presidential candidate emerged from the party's outlier. "For us, everything is an honor because Prabowo and Jokowi are the best people in the nation."
