Bali's Long Road to Become a Medical Tourism Center

Bali Medical Tourism Association (BMTA) Chairman doctor I Gede Wiryana Patrajaya said 14 out of 72 hospitals and three clinics on the island had provided medical tourism services. In detail, six of 14 hospitals are government-owned hospitals, and the rest are private hospitals.

"A total of 14 hospitals provide medical tourism services," I Gede Wiryana Patrajaya said in Bali on Tuesday. According to him, the selected government hospital has excellent services, for example, Prof Ngoerah Hospital with cardiac services, Bali Mandara Eye Hospital for eyes, PTN Unud Hospital for infectious diseases, and Mangusada Badung Hospital for heart cancer.

In addition, three clinics have provided medical tourism in Bali, including Dental 911 for teeth and Penta Medika Clinic, and 221 Assist Clinic for evacuation. Wiryana said five health facilities, especially aesthetic clinics, are applying to join as medical tourism service providers in Bali.
