Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that he would participate in the agenda of the G20 Summit in Bali in November 2022. According to him, this was a response to President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's invitation as the host. However, Putin is still unable to decide whether he will attend the event in person or not.

"We will see how the situation will develop in the economic and other fields," Putin said, as quoted by the Tass news agency on Friday. Putin also stated that Jokowi had warned himself about pressure from other countries on Russia during the summit. According to him, Jokowi guaranteed that Indonesia's position was firm, wanting to see himself present at the G20 Summit. "I will look deeper, and we will make a decision. Russia will participate," he said.
