The Ministry of Law and Human Rights issued Ministerial Decree Number M.HH-26.AH.11.02 of 2022, which ratified Muhammad Mardiono as acting chairman of the United Development Party (PPP) for the 2020-2025 period. The Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna Laoly signed the letter on September 9, 2022.

Mardiono, denied the alleged intervention from the government in his very quick ratification. According to him, the quick issuance of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Decree is purely due to digitization in the registration system. Submissions for changes to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights management structure are made online.
