Indonesian President and Intelligence's Data Hit by Cyberattack

The National Cyber ​​and Encryption Agency (BSSN) is investigating the alleged breach of the state's top secrets, containing the confidential data of President Joko Widodo and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN). The attack was carried out by a hacker named Bjorka. BSSN spokesperson Ariandi Putra ensured the agency has been tracing several sources and validated the published data. "BSSN has been coordinating with every electronic system operator suspected of suffering from the data leaks," Ariandi said on Saturday.

President and BIN's data were allegedly leaked after a hacker named Bjorka uploaded state secrets on breached.today. Bjorka claimed the letters belonged to Jokowi in 2019-2021 and a collection of letters sent by BIN. There are 679,180 documents in a 189-megabyte folder, one of which is a letter from BIN requesting facility and infrastructure support and the 74th Independence Day commemoration ceremony. However, BIN spokesperson Wawan Hari Purwanto claimed that no confidential documents were leaked because they used multiple layers of security. "It's a hoax," he said. The Presidential Secretariat head Heru Budi Hartono also denied the leak.
