Texcal Energy to Invest in Eastern Indonesia Oil and Gas Block

Texcal Energy is eyeing the management of new oil and gas blocks in eastern Indonesia. Texcal Energy VP Subsurface Khaerul Muttaqin said the company is still looking for new oil and gas blocks that can be managed to increase production. Khaerul said increased oil and gas production is not only limited to the management of new exploration blocks but also to blocks that are entering the exploitation stage.
"Now we are reviewing the eastern area. Furthermore, regarding the upstream operations, we will continue to look at the potentials of other oil and gas blocks, both exploration and production blocks," Khaerul told Bisnis.com on Friday. Currently, Texcal Energy manages five oil and gas fields in Indonesia: Mahato Block, Bohorok Block, South Block, and South Tuban KSO Block. He assessed that the domestic oil and gas industry has a highly attractive outlook, especially in Eastern Indonesia, which has a lot of unexplored potential.
