Kohler Spends Rp 14.5 Trillion for New Factory in Indonesia

The Industry Ministry welcomes PT Kohler Manufacturing Indonesia's plan to build a factory worth Rp 14.5 trillion in Cikarang, West Java. This factory will have an installed capacity of up to 1 million units for sanitary ceramic products, which include toilets, sinks, and urinals. "Kohler is an iconic, global brand, and we are delighted to learn the company is expanding its manufacturing operations in Indonesia. The company's investment will bring leading businesses to the country, thereby opening hundreds of decent jobs to the fast-growing manufacturing landscape in the region," Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said while visiting PT Kohler Manufacturing Indonesia in Cikarang last Monday.
The Industry Minister said that since January 2022, PT Kohler Manufacturing Indonesia's realized production had exceeded 239,000 units. The US-based company's total workforce is 429 people and will expectedly open jobs for more than 1,000 people once the factory runs 100 percent.
