Govt Pursues Nusantara Development Target

The government ramps up spending for the National Capital City (IKN) Nusantara project in the 2023 State Budget (APBN). Minister of National Development Planning Suharso Monoarfa said the IKN Nusantara project budget reached Rp 23.6 trillion in 2023. The budget is part of the ministry's expenditure or institutions, amounting to Rp 993.2 trillion.

According to him, the funds came from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of Forestry and Environment, the Police, and the Ministry of Investment. "This includes the budgets from other institutions," Suharso said Tuesday. Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono said the budget for IKN Nusantara construction has tripled from Rp 5.4 trillion this year.
