How's the Fate of Komodo Island Priority Tourism?

The government will evaluate ticket prices for Komodo National Park (TNK), Padar Island, and the surrounding waters, which soared to Rp 3.75 million per person on August 1. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the ticket price hike was in line with restrictions on tourists and conservation efforts in Komodo National Park.
Airlangga admitted that he would accommodate the aspirations of all parties over the price hike. This will be discussed together with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. Meanwhile, Chairman of the Indonesian Travel Agent Association (Astindo) Labuan Bajo Ignasius Suradin asked the government to revoke the increased ticket prices to enter Komodo Island because it cuts the income of tourism business actors. According to him, more than 10,000 domestic and foreign tourists canceled their visits to the area due to increased ticket prices.
