Astra and Toyota Corp Establish a New Business

PT Astra International Tbk (ASII), through subsidiary PT Arya Kharisma (AKH), and Toyota Motor Corporation formed a joint venture in a 50:50 share ratio called PT Mobilitas Digital Indonesia. Mobilitas Digital Indonesia provides rental services for commercial vehicles.

Astra International president director Djony Bunarto Tjondro said the joint venture would start operating in the fourth quarter of 2022 and believed it would strengthen the partnership between Astra and Toyota. "This company can contribute to Indonesia's economic growth and improve the quality of people's lives," Djony said on Friday. Chief Executive Officer of Toyota Region Asia, Hao Quoc Tien, said this new company would be an integral strategy to realize Toyota's vision of 'Mobility for All' in Asia.
