The Ups and Downs of Saudi Arabia's Investment Plan in Indonesia
The Indonesian government is waiting for investment realization from Saudi Arabia. Coordinating Maritime Affairs and Investment Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan claimed that the Middle Eastern country would invest heavily in all sectors in Indonesia. He also claimed to have met with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman and discussed the matter.
"He said, General Luhut, one thing I ask for. I don't want to lose Indonesia like we lost China in the 80s. We want big investments in Indonesia," Luhut said on Saturday. Saudi Arabia became interested in Indonesia after witnessing its significant growth as a developing country and promising investment target.
