Several tech giants have avoided blocking sanctions after registering as domestic electronic system operators (PSE) in Indonesia. Communications and Informatics Ministry’s director general of information applications Semuel Abrijani Pangerapan reported that Google, Twitter, Facebook, Netflix, TikTok, to game platforms like Mobile Legends and Player Unknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) have all registered.

Google, represented by PT Google Indonesia and PT Google Cloud Indonesia, has registered some of its services in Indonesia. It must now comply with Indonesian regulations and laws for having registered through representatives in Indonesia. "They are local companies," Semuel said. The registration for foreign and domestic digital operators opened until July 20, 2022, and the ministry would have blocked those passing the deadline.
