Here Is Why Indonesia Rejects LNG Demand from European Union

Indonesia has to reject the liquefied natural gas (LNG) order from the European Union. Deputy for Finance and Monetization of the Upstream Oil and Gas Special Regulatory Task Force (SKK Migas) Arief Setiawan Handoko revealed that Indonesia did not have extra LNG supplies to meet the demand. "There is indeed demand from European countries due to the limited availability of Russian gas. Unfortunately, we cannot send our LNG there," Arief said on Friday.
This year's LNG lifting or ready-to-sell production target is 197.6 cargoes: 81 from the Bontang Refinery and 116.6 from the Tangguh Refinery. About 57 of them are for domestic contracts, while the remaining 140.6 cargoes are for exports.
