Govt to Attract More Foreign Investment in Crypto, Blockchain

Deputy Trade Minister Jerry Sambuaga invites Singaporean investors to conduct cryptocurrency business in Indonesia. He said Indonesia has the potential to become a promising crypto market. Jerry conveyed this matter on the sidelines of the ABA Event "Community Meet and Greet Session Fireside Chat on Crossborder Blockchain, Cryptocurrency, and Digital Assets Between Singapore and Indonesia," held in Singapore Friday.

"Crypto business opportunities in Indonesia are wide open. This is an opportunity for investors to do business in Indonesia. Of course, businesses must continue to adhere to prevailing regulations in Indonesia," Jerry said in a written statement Saturday.

Jerry encouraged Singaporean investors to hold outreach and seminars with the Indonesian Blockchain Association and the Indonesian Crypto Traders Association. This is to understand the benefits and uses of Blockchain technology and crypto assets. According to Jerry, Indonesia and Singapore can also work together to secure sensitive data and digital assets transacting through cross-border foreign trade platforms.
