Jambaran Tiung Biru Project Ready to Gas In on July 20

The Jambaran–Tiung Biru (JTB) Unitization Gas Field Development Project is in the final stages of commissioning. Director of Operations for the Upstream Oil and Gas Business Regulatory Task Force (SKK Migas) Julius Wiratno said one of the National Strategic Projects (PSN) has only 2-3 percent of the work in the process. "The project is set for gas in on July 20, 2022. Let's expect that everything goes well so that the commercial gas can flow by the end of July," Julius said on Sunday.

Previously, the House's Energy Commission Member Mulyanto asked the government to monitor the work schedule for the JTB Project closely after it was delayed from the target. "It's now set; it can't go back anymore. Industries in Central and East Java have been waiting for gas flow from this project for a long time. Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic has subsided, and the economic activities have recovered," he said Friday.
