Deliveree Bags US$70 Mln Funding from Gobi Partners, SPIL Ventures
Logistics firm Deliveree announced that it had raised US$70 million in a Series C funding round led by Gobi Partners and SPIL Ventures. Deliveree's existing investor, Inspire Ventures, also participates in this funding round. Over the past five years, Deliveree has raised US$109 million in funding. This makes Deliveree a centaur or startup with a valuation of over US$100 million.
Tom Kim, Co-founder and CEO of Deliveree, said that this funding would be used to increase market penetration, expand the types of services with the presence of container cargo solutions, and carry out large-scale development to become a logistics marketplace available throughout Southeast Asia.
"Deliveree's mission is to digitize logistics by making cargo transportation simple, affordable, flexible, and scalable for businesses of all sizes. This is realized through the power of our marketplace platform that connects logistics customers with large transport networks and service providers," Tom Kim said on Monday. He calls this concept a mega logistics marketplace.
