Muhaimin-Yenny Quarrel Adds to PKB Conflict List
National Awakening Party (PKB) chairman Muhaimin Iskandar has engaged in a spat with Zaanuba Arifah Chafsoh, known as Yenny Wahid, the daughter of PKB founder and former president Abdurrahman Wahid. The quarrel was triggered by Yenny's statement during a visit to the Institute of Domestic Administration (IPDN) in Sumedang on Wednesday. She suggested that politicians with poor electability should not insist on running for president "Do not push it because it will harm the PKB constituents," Yenny, who currently serves as Director of the Wahid Foundation, said. He also asked Muhaimin to stop antagonizing Nahdlatul Ulama (NU).
Muhaimin responded on his Twitter account and pointed out Yenny Wahid's failure in creating a political party and her tendency to keep criticizing PKB. "Yeni is not PKB [member], has failed to make her own party even qualify. She keeps attacking PKB during elections, [but] PKB's votes keeps going up," Muhaimin said on Thursday.
