Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan is tasked with solving cooking oil issues such as rising prices and scarcity. He claimed to have understood the root of these problems. "We will disentangle this, and in the next one to two months, the rising prices can be resolved," Zulkifli said at the Presidential Palace on Monday.

Zulkifli also denied any mafia involvement in this issue and explained that government's failure to address the scarcity of crude palm oil (CPO) needed in cooking oil production in time. "Due to the price increase, companies sell their CPO supplies quickly. We have to anticipate the CPO supply delay," he said.
