PHM's Gas Production Up 22 MMSCFD from JSN Project

PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam's (PHM) second platform, WPS-3, on Sisi Nubi Field, Mahakam Block, finally came on stream on June 10. The first gas delivery from the platform on the SS-301 well managed to add PHM's gas production by 22.51 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd). PHM general manager Krisna said that the company managed to deliver gas from the first and second platforms thanks to the government's fiscal incentives. "Since the oil and gas incentives were granted in 2021, PHM has been taking various strategic steps to realize approved work programs," he said on Friday.

Meanwhile, PHM senior project manager Setyo Sapto Edi explained that the WPS-3's design would allow the platform to produce up to 45 MMscfd. PHM has also completed the construction of the third platform, WPN-4. "It has been ready for drilling since February 22, and currently, it is still in the drilling process and is expected to be on-stream in August," he said.
