The National Democratic Party (NasDem) nominated three figures as presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election. NasDem General Chair Surya Paloh said the three figures are Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan; Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) General Andika Perkasa; and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo. Paloh said the three names were chosen by the NasDem national working meeting participants at the Jakarta Convention Center on June 17.

"Nothing is lacking between these three names. They have about the same value in my eyes, but it is based on the order of reading," Paloh said after the meeting. On a separate occasion, NasDem Deputy Secretary-General Hermawi Taslim noted that next week another political party would meet with NasDem. According to him, the opportunity for a coalition is still open. "This is only part of political communication," he said Sunday.
