New Task for Rachmat Kaimuddin
Former Bukalapak Chief Executive Officer Rachmat Kaimuddin was appointed as the acting Deputy of Transportation and Infrastructure of the Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Investment. A spokesman for the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment Jodi Mahardi said Rachmat's background could support transportation and infrastructure programs. "Education, networking, and the profession are useful for work programs at the ministry," he told Katadata.co.id on Monday.
Since March 1, 2022, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Pandjaitan has appointed Rachmat as a special advisor for sustainable technology development. According to Luhut, one of the government projects, the US$24 billion International Port and Industrial Estate (KIPI) in Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan, requires Rachmat's expertise.
