Insurtech Firms Raise More Funds Since COVID-19 Emergence
Insurtech startup Aman managed to raise US$1.2 million in the pre-seed funding round. Tech In Asia reported on May 17 that the funding round was led by Global Founders Capital (GFC) and Trihill Capital. The funding round also involved 1982 Ventures, Alto Partners, Atlas Global Kapital, and several angel investors, including Assaf Wand (Co-Founder of Hippo), Abhinay Peddisetty (Co-Founder of BukuWarung), Joshua Kevin (Founder of Talenta), and Prasanna Sankar (Co-Founder of Rippling).
Founded in 2020 by Steven Tannason and Le Khanh An, Aman offers a platform that allows companies to provide health benefits to employees. Alwyn Rusli, an investor of Trihill Capital, assessed that services provided by Aman would allow companies to retain their talents. “In the past, this issue was not much of a concern for companies. But now, with the increasing number of startups and companies competing in a limited pool of talents, companies need to really think about employee retention measures,” he said.
