Coordinating Maritime Affairs and Investment Minister Luhut Pandjaitan and Tesla Inc boss Elon Musk met up at the Tesla assembly plant in Austin, Texas. A picture on the Instagram account of PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (TOBA) director Pandu Sjahrir showed that he was part of Luhut's team during the visit. President Director of PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR) Anindya Bakrie was also seen in the picture. "We talked about electric vehicles, renewable energy, and B20," Pandu said on Tuesday.

Pandu claimed that Elon was very excited about the development of the nickel industry and electric vehicles in Indonesia. He hoped that the meeting could bring more high technology investments to Indonesia. Meanwhile, Anindya Bakrie, also on his Instagram account, revealed that the purpose of the delegation was to convince Tesla to cooperate with Indonesia on the nickel supply and processing.
