Pertamina NRE, Pondera Team Up for Wind Power Plant Project

PT Pertamina New Renewable Energy (NRE) and Dutch renewable energy consultant and developer Pondera Development BV signed a memorandum of understanding on developing wind power plants (PLTB) in Indonesia. The agreement focuses on collaboration in the development of clean energy plants in several areas, including strategic, technical, and commercial cooperation. 

Pertamina NRE Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dannif Danusaputro said Indonesia has vast wind power potential. "We view this potential as a perfect opportunity for Pertamina NRE to expand its clean energy portfolio while supporting the acceleration of the energy transition in Indonesia," Dannif said on Friday.

Eric Arends, Vice Chairman of the Pondera Group, said wind energy and solar and geothermal energy would play an important role in Indonesia's energy mix. "The strategic collaboration is an effort to realize this strategy by combining technical knowledge and capacity development from both parties," he said.
